Hoist a pint while holiday shopping from local artists, makers and more at SLU BRU’s holiday market from 2-4 p.m. on the first three Wednesdays in December. SLU BRU is a casual beer hall located in Dexter Yard, an open block campus at the intersection of South Lake Union’s tech row. Seattle-based businesses, including History + Industry,  The Works Seattle and Timothy De Clue Collection, will pop-up throughout the holiday season, sharing gift inspiration and a chance to toast the season on the following dates.

As we bundle up and begin holiday planning, consider wintering for a weekend in Washington’s wine country with a variety of festive events in Washington’s Tri-Cities. From holiday markets on the farm and Crafting with Claus to fun runs and hometown parades, Tri-Cities area offers a magical destination for holiday revelers.

In an effort to diversify offerings, Seattle’s specialty foods company Gourmondo has found that many small businesses are leaning into special events. From a historic Pioneer Square bookstore doubling down on literary libations to a Seattle Sounder’s venue full of charm, a Pike Place hideaway ready for its closeup or a new Woodinville Tasting Room with culinary chops, here are six new private event spaces with availability through the holiday season.

Crunchy Red Fruit, a wine club and digital retailer founded and curated by Master Sommelier and Canlis alum Jackson Rohrbaugh, and Seattle Wine Co., a longstanding locally loved brick-and-mortar wine shop that has been a beacon of hospitality and excellent wine in Bellevue for 20 years, are merging to create Fruit Wine Co. This thoughtfully developed, experiential wine company will offer shopping, tasting experiences and special events at the former location of Seattle Wine Co. in Bellevue’s Spring District, while furthering operations of the successful wine club, which will remain named Crunchy Red Fruit.
