Pier 57 Celebrates the Legacy of Seattle Seafood
When summer rolls around in the Pacific Northwest, there is nothing quite like an experience on Seattle’s celebrated waterfront. Tourists and visitors alike flock to the area to take in the panoramic views of Mount Rainier, Olympic Mountains and Elliot Bay, and enjoy the area’s celebrated shops and restaurants. While the area has undergone a transformation with the SR 99 Tunnel, the waterfront’s eclectic food scene is also celebrating a new revival. This spring Pier 57 has launched a brand-new menu at Fisherman’s Restaurant and Bar, Seattle’s beloved waterfront restaurant adjacent to the Seattle Great Wheel.

Miners Landing at Pier 57, home to the Seattle Great Wheel and a variety of dining and entertainment options, announces new happenings coming this February. With Chef Nick Novello now at the helm, a seafood-inspired Valentine’s Day menu offers a tasty way to celebrate the season at Fisherman’s Restaurant and Bar, followed by a private gondola ride with sparkling wine for two. All day happy hour at Fisherman’s Restaurant and a final bird’s eye view of the viaduct may relieve some weary downtown commuters as construction continues throughout the month.

While Seattleites brave the Alaskan Way Viaduct closure, also known as ViaDoom, Pacific Place offers new incentives, coined as “Via-Do” for downtown workers. The Pacific Place garage, home to 1,200 parking spaces on six levels (the largest in Downtown Seattle) is extending early bird parking offer from 10 hours to 12 hours and reducing overnight parking rates from $30 to $25 from January 14 – February 4, 2019.

A Tasty Way to Support Salmon Restoration, Orca Recovery
Chef Scott Staples, the force behind Feed Co. Burgers and Uneeda Burger is proudly partnering with Long Live the Kings (LLTK), a Seattle based organization that works to restore wild salmon and steelhead and support sustainable fishing in the Pacific Northwest, to launch the “Sandwich for the Sound.” This rotating sandwich special found at Feed Co. Burgers and Uneeda Burger beginning in November will feature a delicious alternative to salmon. With a goal to raise both funds and awareness for conservation and restoration efforts, twenty five percent of every sandwich sold will be donated to Long Live the Kings.
